globaldatanet is a cloud-native AWS cloud solution provider which specializes in highly scalable solutions using serverless technologies. In this video, they present a multi-tenant SaaS solution to monitor construction sites using a completely serverless architecture on AWS. The solution leverages Amazon Rekognition as a managed AI service to blur out workers from images and redact other personally identifiable data from over 86,000 images captured and uploaded each day - all without the need for detailed machine learning knowledge. By entirely relying on serverless technology, they were able to achieve 47% cost savings compared to a previous solution.
