Amazon DynamoDB is the most scalable database service offered by AWS. Amazon DynamoDB was built to scale with a serverless architecture that supports the largest internet-scale applications, including Amazon.com and Disney+. Being a NoSQL database, DynamoDB is the perfect choice for microservice based architectures. For customers starting their journey of application modernization, DynamoDB is a great place to start.
Serverless computing and horizontal scaling (sharding) can seem daunting, which is why this session will walk-thru the underlying architecture of DynamoDB so customers can not only understand how it works, but how easy it is to implement DynamoDB for their modern, NoSQL applications. This session will also cover key features like DAX for microsecond in-memory cache performance and Global Tables for automated global replication supporting applications with single-digit millisecond read and write performance in any selected region. We will also use this time to do a demo of DynamoDB in action.
Learning Objectives:
* Objective 1: Understand the benefits of Amazon DynamoDB NoSQL, serverless architecture for scaling dynamic, unpredictable or intermittent applications in single-digit milliseconds.
* Objective 2: Dive deep into how DynamoDB works including a comparison of on-demand and provisioned capacity modes.
* Objective 3: See firsthand how easy DynamoDB is to use in the AWS console.
