I am going to show you how to locate your account’s IP address.

This is something you may need to know for use in programs such as email clients, or creating DNS records, etc.

A VPS or Dedicated server starts off with a single IP, so all cPanels on the server will have the same IP address.

Shared servers have a few different IPs on them, so not all cPanels on the same server have the same IP. However, the IP address for the cPanel works for all domains on that cPanel account.

I am going to show you how to do this in the two different cPanel themes that are on our servers, the older X3 theme and the newer Paper Lantern theme,

The first thing you need to do is to log into the cPanel like I have already done here.

I am on the older x3 theme at the moment so we will start with that one.

Look to the left-hand sidebar. This is where you will see various different stats for your account. If you see just a handful like here, click on the “Expand Stats” link to show them all.

Once you have all the stats displaying, scroll down until you see the stat named “Shared IP Address” next to it you will see the IP address for your cPanel account.
