In this HostPapa tutorial, we show you how to enable hotlink protection for Joomla! using cPanel.

Prevent bandwidth theft by enabling this option. Login to your cPanel and then click on hotlink protection. cPanel will normally add all of the subdomains for your site, and you can add additional ones if you want. Block access to specific file types to prevent abuse of your website. Select allow redirect requests. Then redirect the traffic and enter a redirect URL.
Click on save.
