PRICING

So as I cover in this InMotion Hosting review, they're not a cheap web hosting provider. Coming in at $4.99 for the regular plan. In most cases, you can get web hosting that's cheaper than that, but it won't come packed with so many features. However, InMotion hosting does offer a secret "lite" plan if you use the link:

This plan unlocks a beginner friendly version of their hosting service for just $2.50. This brings Inmotion Hosting on the same level as other cheap web hosting providers. The upside? They do offer more features for free than most providers. The downside? The control panel they use is old and outdated.

PERFORMANCE

I always thought of InMotion hosting as an "enterprise" solution offering excellent performance and having unique infrastructure. I always recommended them for larger businesses, e-commerce and stuff like that. However, with the addition of the Lite plan, regular users can take advantage of their extremely fast loading speed for a fraction of the cost. Sure the control panel isn't state of the art, but their technology is. As I've discovered in this InMotion Hosting review they're using a unique server configuration they call the "Ultra Stack" meaning your website will load faster than regular web hosting services.

EXTRA FEATURES

If you're choosing InMotion hosting what can you expect in terms of extra features? Well, they pack all of the basics like an SSL certificate to make your website encrypted and have a green lock next to the domain. They also use anti malware protection on their servers so AT LEAST the most popular versions of spamware and malware won't make it onto your website. As I've done research for this InMotion Hosting review I've found that they constantly update their servers with new malware detection.

And with the more expensive plans you also get such essentials as a domain name and email hosting services.

SUPPORT

As I was doing this InMotion Hosting review I always found the support to be hardest to evaluate since it's dependent on so many different aspects, like your problem, your knowledge, the knowledge of the support agent and the tools that they're given.

In my experience InMotion Hosting support agents offer support that's not really all that accurate you might need to do some light googling yourself and get them on the right track but if you describe the problem accurately enough they will provide knowledgeable support.

So at least for this InMotion Hosting review I've got to score their support team somewhere around the 7/10 mark. Not as good as SiteGround or Hostinger.

Recommendation

In my opinion, InMotion hosting is NOT for beginners. By far the best service they offer is aimed at higher paying clients. That already know what they're doing, but if you want to play with enterprise level hardware for the fraction of the cost you can always choose the lite plan.
