In this HostPapa tutorial, we show you how to manage files in WinSCP.
This tutorial assumes you’ve already had WinSCP running on your computer and connected to a remote server.
We will start by creating a new folder/directory, right-click in the remote server window, and click the create directory. Enter the new folders/directory name. You can rename the folder/directory by clicking rename. By following similar steps, you could delete the folder.
To change File/Folder permissions, click the folder then click the properties icon. To change the file permissions simply enter the new permissions values or check off the appropriate permissions box. Once you are done select ok.
You should now know how to manage your files and folders in WinSCP, including creating a new folder, renaming them, deleting them, and changing file permissions.
