ChemiCloud Review - How Are They Different From Other Hosts?

#1 A Free Domain Name For Life

If you buy a plan with ChemiCloud and use their web hosting service, they will pay for your website name. This means you save an extra $12-$15 a year. So far, ChemiCloud is the only company that I found that's doing this.

#2 Addons Aren't Activated

While preparing for this Chemicloud review, I used their services quite extensively. What I found out is that they have a lot of free performance-boosting addons to offer. However, none of them are activated automatically. For example Litespeed cache. If you choose to host with Chemicloud you absolutely must go into your control panel and active all of these extra features yourself. This will make websites you host on chemicloud at least 2x faster.

#3 The Plans Are Over The Top Powerful

Even the cheapest plan for $3.95 gives you 1GB of RAM and 1 CPU core. In simpler terms this allows you to host around 100,000k monthly visits or around 140 people on your website at the same time. These are extreme numbers for the "cheapest" price. For comparison, if your website is nowhere near this size, you can get hosting for around $1 and it will work just as well.

#4 Free Hosting If They Mess Up

While doing my video review research I always try to see how often my websites go offline. And, this ChemiCloud review is no exception. I've set up a 3rd party monitoring system and noticed that my website experienced around 9 minutes of downtime. While chemicloud claims their uptime is 99.99%. Interestingly enough, ChemiCloud has a system in place in where they give you free hosting time, if your website was offline due to their fault.

However, they don't accept 3rd party monitoring data, and always give out free time based on their internal reports. How trustworthy are they? Well it's only for them to know...

#5 Really Good Support

ChemiCloud support is actually one of the fastest responding ones I've seen this year. This is probably due to the fact that ChemiCloud Hosting isn't a really big company yet, they don't get bombarded with thousands of questions every minute. So, they can give each customer more support time and privilege.

Recommendation

Overall, I found that ChemiCloud hosting is a good company, that's sadly held back by their pricing. They don't quite fit into the cheap web hosting category and there are better premium solutions available. This leaves them without a solid place in the market, best fitted for medium sized projects. As I found out in this ChemiCloud review, they're especially well suited for people who rely on support agents a lot.
