Are you new to cPanel and confused about the layout of the File Manager tool? Check out this video to learn how to use the file manager thats built into cPanel.

The File Manager is a tool that allows you to move, upload, edit, and curate all the files and folders for your sites. The layout is broken down into a few different areas.

At the top is the toolbar where you will find icons that represent most of the tasks you can do within the File Manager.

To the left is the File Tree. This is a snapshot of the folder layout of your account. You can expand and view the different folders within the account.

The largest panel to the right displays all the folders and files that are contained in your current location relative to the File Tree. Here you can see details such as filename, modified date, and permissions.
