Learn how to get rid of the "index.php" in your URL, with the "Use URL Rewriting" setting in Joomla 3. First rename your htaccess.txt file .htaccess. Next, Login to the Joomla Admin Dashboard. Under "System" click "Global Configuration," then select the Site tab. Next to "Use URL Rewriting" click the Yes button, then Save & close.
