How to Create a File in cPanel

Creating a file in cPanel is one of the more basic features. It is fairly straightforward but is worth mentioning for new users.

First, log into your cPanel interface.

Next, click on the File Manager icon located in the Files category.

Once in the File Manager, look for the New File icon on the toolbar across the top of the screen.

A popup will appear asking for your new file name. Name your file. You can also change the location where the file is to be saved. The popup defaults to your current location in the File Manager.

Click the Create New File button to create your new empty file.
